1.The applicants receiving the application form for sputum testing need to make reservation by on-site reservation.

2.The applicants may receive the sputum collection according to the reservation time. Sputum collection site: 2ndfloor, Building 4, No 15 Jinbang Road, Shanghai.
3.Original passport or ID card and a copy of it and a piece of photo are requested. Chest X-ray report and X-ray film.
4.The applicants should wear a mask whenever coming for the purpose of sputum testing.
5.The application forms for physical examination.
6.Making arrangements in advance for the sputum examinations that shall require the supervised collection of sputum samples on three consecutive days is suggested.
7.The cost of the sputum examination is 1975 RMB. The payment should be made on the first day of collecting sputum samples. Positive M. tuberculosis cultures shall undergo drug susceptibility testing (DST). The fee for DST is 1900 RMB. Applicants will be informed for payment before the DST test.
8.The results of sputum smears and cultures will be provided after 8-10 weeks.
9.The reports will be emailed to the referring hospital or clinic.
10.Notice for the sputum examination:
1)Keeping the oral cavity clean and in fasting condition. Please do not brush your teeth in the morning.
2)Drinking more water prior to the sputum collection.
3)Covering the mouth with tissues during the process of the sputum examination.
4)Sitting straight and allowing the shoulders to relax. The sputum specimens should be from the bottom of the lung to the oral cavity. Deep coughing is preferably exact mode.
5)Sputum specimens of 10ml.
6)Taking a short break after each coughing.
7)The nasal excrements are not qualified for testing.
