Notice for United Kingdom pre-entry TB screening program

Applicants：
Pre-entry TB screening is compulsory for applicants within Chinese territory who wish to stay in the UK for over six months, including settlement, study or work.
Location:
Shanghai International Travel Medical Center.
2nd floor of Building 3 (Immigration Department), No.15 Jinbang Road, Changning District, Shanghai.
Official time:
08:00-11:00a.m., 13:00-16:00pm Monday to Friday. (Holidays excepted)
Reservation:
Applicants shall make reservation for the medical examination.

2.Applicants can also do it face to face at the reception (Room 215, 2nd floor of Building 3)
Documents:
1.A valid original passport and photocopies of the photo-page and info-update-page.
2.Two color photos of two-inch-size (white ground, within 6 months)
3.Detailed present address (in Chinese and English). Detailed address and postcode in UK (in English)
4.Type of VISA.
5.Applicants with Tuberculosis history shall provide detailed medical record (diagnosis record), including treatment record, chest X-ray film and report.
Notice:
1.Applicants do not need to be fasting before the examination. The screening program does not include blood test or B ultrasound.
2.Applicants with chronic disease (diabetes, hypertension or cortisone therapy, etc.) shall take their routine dose of medicine before the examination.
3.Applicants with pulmonary disease (acute bronchitis, pneumonia etc.) shall postpone health examination if possible.
4.Do not wear any accessories for the examination.
5.Applicants under the age of 16 shall be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.
6.Applicants shall bring all the materials to Shanghai International Travel Medical Center at the reservation time. According to the government of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland (UK), under immigration legislation, the identity of the applicant will be verified and registered before examination.
Medical fees:
550 RMB for each applicant (Further examination is free of charge. This does not include tuberculosis treatment.)
Medical result collecting:
1.Applicants without tuberculosis will get their certificate within one working day.
2.Applicants with signs of active or old pulmonary tuberculosis shall undergo a sputum check. Their certificates will be postponed.
3.Location: Room 213, Immigration department, 2nd floor of Building 3.
4.Documents: A valid original passport and receipt of each applicant.
5.If the applicant cannot collect the result on time, they can postpone to any working hours after the appointed time.
6.Notice:
①Tuberculosis examination certificate is a required documents for visa. Applicants shall bring the certificate with all the necessary materials to the UK consulate.
②One applicant is only provided with one certificate according to the regulation of UK Shanghai Consulate. All the medical results and X-ray films sealed by Shanghai International Travel Medical Center shall not be opened. Reports unsealed by the applicants are considered invalid. According to the regulation of the UK consulate, Shanghai International Travel Medical Center does not provide any resealing service.
Reexamination:
Applicants with abnormal results will undergo reexamination or further investigation, which is free of charge.
